We often hear the first part of this quote. I love the entire statement.
Reinhold Niebuhr so eloquently penned:
“God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can, And wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace;
Taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world As it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that You will make all things right If I surrender to Your Will;
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life And supremely happy with You forever in the next. Amen”
Trust in the LORD, and do good;

Delight thyself also in the LORD;
and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Commit thy way unto the LORD;
trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light,
and thy judgment as the noonday.
Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him:
Trust God for your day, ….Today
