I was visiting a blog (I don’t remember which one) that had this scripture in the side bar, I don’t know which version of the Bible it is from. I did receive encouragement from the simplicity of the words;
“but these things i plan won’t happen right away. slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. if it seems slow, be patient! for it will surely take place, it will not be late by a single day.”
Habakkuk 2:3 (KJV)
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Habakkuk 2:3 (Amplified)
For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day. [Heb. 10:37, 38.]
Heb 10:35-38 (KJV)
Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
Hebrews 10:35-36 has got to be my one of my favorite scriptures in the Bible; the other one being – Malachi 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
